Hi, I'm Ian. I'm a former police officer with more than 26 years service retiring on ill health from injuries sustained on duty. EMMETT therapy turned my life around.
Both my children are professional horse riders and this is where my passion for animal health and wellbeing springs from.
I qualified as an equine thermographer in 2012 and then studied further with Sandie Chambers once qualified. Sandie is a renowned thermographer in the equine world and I was proud to study under her tuition.
I only carry out full scans where it is likely they will be of real value to you or your vet.
I became an EMMETT technique practitioner for horses, humans and dogs in 2017.
EMMETT technique is a revolutionary, non-invasive, light-touch muscle therapy done over clothing, so riders can be treated at the stable along with their horse. In the majority of cases it offers immediate relief from pain and discomfort.
I'm frequently asked how a gentle technique like EMMETT can have such an effect on humans, horses and other animals. We often hear the term 'no pain, no gain'. However, at EMMETT we understand that there are huge benefits to non-intrusive, non-painful manipulation of the fascia. We are able to relieve pain and increase joint mobility without resorting to the more traditional back-cracking remedies.
As a General Hypnotherapy Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist (GHR) I can also offer you confidence coaching to help you boost your riding performance.
